Situated in close proximity to two of Vietnam’s most historic destinations – the UNESCO World Heritage sites at Hot An and Hue – Legend Danang Golf Resort offers breathtaking views of the Marble Mountains, East Sea and Cham Islands.
The Norman Course, the main feature of the Da Nang Resort, covers 150 hectares and is a 7,160 yard 18-hole links style layout. Crafted by Australian golf legend and former world No. 1 Greg Norman, the blown-out bunkers, firm and fast fairways that bleed gently into wild seaside vegetation, with rugged waste areas, swales and hollows was designed in the true spirit of the game.
The first true links style course in Southeast Asia, its tapestry of Old World features is reminiscent of the traditional links courses of the UK while its indigenous surroundings call to mind the acclaimed courses of Australia’s Sandbelt region.
The 148 yard Par 3 16th hole, which plays to a slightly elevated green, has won multiple awards since the course opened. A challenge for any golfer, it is framed by two of the course’s deepest bunkers and is backdropped by the azure East Sea and the lush Cham islands.
Following the banks of the Coco River, the Nicklaus Course is the first true bulkhead course in Southeast Asia. Inspired by world-class Florida style courses, the broad fairways and authentic hardwood bulkhead materials form a key feature of course strategy. One of the longer courses in Asia at 7,380 meters, the Nicklaus Course plays to a Par 73.
Like the design of the course, the 3,800 square meter clubhouse echoes the gently tiered contours of the dune topography on which it is s et, as well as the plateau of the Marble Mountains in the distance.
Expansive glass curtain walls and meshed cladding enhance the the sense of a natural, spontaneous transition from exterior to interior, an atmosphere that is inviting rather than grandiose.
The Legend Danang Golf Resort boasts impressive practice and warmup facilities, with a driving range offering 17 covered and five outdoor hitting bays, a 3,000 square meter grass tee area, two practice bunkers and a 1,600 square meter chipping and putting green.
The resort features a fully-stocked Pro Shop, restaurant, bar and cafe with a Member’s Terrace, private dining room and meeting facilities.
